SUMMARY

The Systems Software Engineer will have a proven background in automation control and software development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conceptual and detailed software design, coding, and testing of:

  • Pre-sale conceptual design, schedule, and cost estimation of software for semi-automated and fully automated industrial processing workstations
  • Software integrating system operation, motion control, laser programming and control, machine vision (Cognex, Keyence), data collection and analysis, file management, human machine interfaces (HMI) and networking capabilities using graphical user interfaces (GUI) with real time implementation.
  • Structured, re-useable low-level motion control system code for Delta-Tau, Aerotech, and ACS motion systems implementing control system and I/O functions.
  • DLLs for selected software-controllable systems components such as: data acquisition and controls, motion controllers, visions systems, lasers, data collection and report generators.
  • Manufacturing floor automation connectivity software including LAN, database, and other standard interfaces and protocols

Project Engineering:

Laser and System Product Engineer

Summary

The Laser and system Product Engineer enables sales success for the Laser and System product lines by providing, in a timely manner, competitively superior technical solutions and responses to requests from internal and external customers.  Responsibilities include various aspects of Product Management, Technical Training, Sales Support, and Product Promotion. Responsibilities

  • Technical support of Laser and System product lines.
  • Communicate with customers and field sales staff during the pre-sale and post-sale phases to understand application needs, providing responses in coordination with Field Sales, Engineering, and Applications Lab.

Systems Proposal Engineer

Summary

This position offers an exciting opportunity to experience the full cycle of projects for highly customized laser and resistance welding integrated systems for various industries, starting from pre-sale engineering to final machine build.  This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your engineering and critical thinking skills to supply customers with technical proposals for their custom laser and resistance welding integrated needs.

The Systems Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing technical proposals for custom laser processing systems and resistance welding.  The Systems Proposal Engineer will also conduct research for technical solutions to best match customize system requirements from requests from Sales and their customers.

The Systems Proposal Engineer position can provide the opportunity to grow into an Engineering, Sales, or Project Management position based on results and progress.  Extensive direct customer and Sales engagement is required.  Some travel is required.

Essential Duties

  • Communicate with customers and Sales during the pre-sale stages to understand system requirements, provide pre-sale responses, and system solution information in coordination with Systems Proposal Manager, Engineering, Advanced Technology, and Laser Applications Lab Engineers.
  • Provide to Systems Proposal Manager cost analysis, schedule estimates, and clear descriptions of non-standard features for system proposals.
  • Obtain supporting data for custom system solutions from self-engineering analysis, input from Engineering, and input from suppliers.
  • Prepare quick turn-around CAD descriptive sketches to support Systems Proposal Manager.
  • Produce presentations for customers and present them via web teleconference, on-site customer visits, and in-house customer visits emphasizing technical knowledge of products and service core competencies.

Business Development Engineer

The Business Development Engineer will represent the company to key players in the industry and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective client expansion strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable growth while forging strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Help grow AMADA WELD TECH business by identifying new markets, new customers, new business models and other tasks as defined by the management team.
  • Identify and help develop new market regions currently underserved by sales structure.  Including working with new agents, opening new offices, recruiting local sales people, new sales channels, etc.
  • Visit AMADA WELD TECH top customers and develop a business plan to penetrate and develop new top customers. Collect and report on customer feedback on company and products. Attend customer/client presentations and demonstrations as necessary.
  • Develop marketing and product release documents. Including preparation of competitive analysis, market opportunity, pricing and launch strategy.
  • Assist in developing quarterly group meeting reports as they relate to business development.

  • DLLs for selected software-controllable systems components such as: data acquisition and controls, motion controllers, visions systems, lasers, data collection and report generators
  • Manufacturing floor automation connectivity software including LAN, database, and other standard interfaces and protocols

Shipping Clerk

Summary

The Shipping Clerk will report to the Shipping Supervisor and will support all shipping activities within the department. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and be comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with 8-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday and weekends based on the company’s workload.

Essential Duties

  • Packing and crating product per specification and in a manner to mitigate shipping damage and representative of our Quality Policy
  • Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, SLI’s, SED’s, Commercial Invoices, Performa Invoices and other documents as required for all orders shipping on the current day and three to five working days in advance
  • AES Filing
  • INCOTERMS – Must be familiar with export terminology such as EXWORKS, DDP, DDU, CIF
  • Export Compliance verification, reporting and records keeping
  • Review future Orders/Projects for shipping and delivery instructions
  • Coordinate obtaining weights and dimensions for quotations and determine appropriate shipping methods
  • Prepare, document, and maintain records, for all freight quotations
  • Assist and coordinate with customer service on orders shipping status
  • Initiate and follow up freight claims as required
  • Process all same day orders as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment

Field Service Engineer

Overview

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing and servicing resistance welding, laser welders, laser markers and systems equipment; handling customer inquiries related to applications or processes development using our products. Travel to support these tasks will be worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, aligning and servicing lasers, resistance welders and workstations with PLCs and motion control hardware and software
  • Making changes to PLC and motion control programs
  • Training customers in the use and maintenance of our products
  • Answering telephone inquiries regarding product operation, maintenance and applications
  • Writing field visit and customer inquiry reports
  • Work with customers and other visitors on applications development in-house
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by the management of AMADA WELD TECH from time to time

Education/Experience

• Excellent customer interface, verbal, and written communications skills
• Good practical electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
• Logical analysis of technical problems, ability to understand problem as described by customer
• Proficient PC computer skills including Microsoft Office products
• Lift and carry 50 pounds
• Significant travel by air and car (in excess of 75% of the time)
