Senior Embedded Software Engineer

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for software and firmware development.

Essential Duties

Conceptual and detailed software design:

  • Develop software architecture and design for embedded systems
  • Prepare technical documents including software requirements, interface control documents, flow charts, technical reports, and design specifications in a clear and concise manner.
  • Resolve diverse and complex software implementation problems, requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures when not covered by established practice


Software Coding:

  • Design, code, debug and modify embedded software
  • Report on progress, design and conduct demonstrations, manage changes
  • Provide detailed documentation for production release

Project and Departmental Duties:

  • Design, code, debug, and modify embedded software for single core and SoC implementations
  • Develop software architecture and design for real-time embedded systems
  • Work with product managers and engineers to define software requirements for new products
  • Develop, organize, and maintain software module library
  • Develop software test tools for initial debug of embedded hardware
  • Select appropriate software development, library, design control, and archive tools

Systems Project Manager

Systems Project Manager

The Systems Project Manager will act as a project lead for multiple teams following the ISO 9001 quality management system.  As project leader, the Systems Project Manager will coordinate activities of the project design team and production personnel, and also be the point of contact for communication with the customer.


  • Project management role from purchase order to shipment.  Project management includes: setting and meeting project parameters such as cost, schedule, performance, and deliverables.
  • Pre-sale activities include conceptual design, schedule, and cost estimation of semi-automated industrial laser processing workstations.
  • Conceptual design with assistance from others includes: cycle time estimate, mechanical layout of workstation, tooling concept, block diagram of electronic controls, and flowchart of overall man-machine interaction and machine functions.
  • Cost estimation includes estimation of NRE, RE, assembly, testing and materials.
  • Project schedule development using critical path method covering all tasks from PO to shipment including those for which others are responsible for performing.
  • Post-booking activities include: detailed design and documentation for custom portions of specific projects, re-using existing hardware and software subassemblies as much as possible to minimize engineering content of complete delivered system.
  • Prepare, schedule and conduct design reviews with customer, engineering and operations.
  • Implement change orders to accommodate change of project scope.
  • Weekly customer communication to report on progress, schedule status, and when necessary delays and schedule recovery plans.
  • Coordinate acceptance test requirements, sample materials, laser application, machine readiness, customer visit schedule, and lab resources for acceptance tests.  Manage acceptance test and handle all exceptions necessary to secure customer sign-off.
  • Systems Project Manager’s responsibilities for technical engineering and project management ratio varies based on backlog and is typically 70/30.

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Four-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software or related Engineering curriculum.
  • Related technical engineering curriculum will be tested.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully driving and delivering projects (on time, on budget and to customer satisfaction).
  • Communicate well orally and in writing with customers and others with whom he/she works with within and outside the Engineering department.
  • Experience with project management tools including MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word.

Sales Coordinator

Job Summary

This position requires a Sales Coordinator with a can-do attitude, excellent organization skills including attention to detail and follow through; the ability to research and solve problems for internal and external customers; superior communications skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle demanding people and difficult situations. Sales Coordinator coordinates the day to day activities for the assigned territories or any other territory as needed. The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for all phases of customer support from quotes to follow up after the sale.

  • Order quoting and entry in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Review of customer order backlog with respect to manufacturing availability and customer needs, credit hold issues, down payment issues and clearance of purchase orders with discrepancies.
  • Heavy customer interface via e-mail, phone and fax.
  • Monitor the closing of opportunities in sales force in order to ensure open opportunities are closed.
  • Ensure sales force opportunity is added to sales order as required.
  • Ensure commission split are noted and processed on sales order.
  • Knowledge of Amada Weld Tech Inc. products, functions as well as features.
  • May require individuals to attend daily or weekly backlog meetings.
  • Assist Regional Sales Mangers, and independent sales representatives and dealers as needed.
  • Responsible for obtaining and abiding by all company signing rules, including the required approval of Demo Orders, Order with Discounts, Credit Return Orders.
  • Exchange Orders or Cancellation of Order. This will also include required approval for sales quotes.
  • Maintain an order entry accuracy rate of 95% of greater.
  • Turn around and process of sales quotes within the same day.
  • Responsible for consumable sales (Goal will be assigned).
  • Assist other departments within the company as needed.
  • Attend Systems Kick-off meeting as required.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales or procurement.
  • Previous experience working with a CRM system such as Sales force or similar as well as an ERP system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office ( word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a channel sales model (i.e manufacturers reps, dealers, distributors, integrators, etc.
  • English language skills:  ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Senior Systems Software Engineer


The Senior Systems Software Engineer will have a proven background in automation control and software development.


Conceptual and detailed software design, coding, and testing of:

  • Pre-sale conceptual design, schedule, and cost estimation of software for semi-automated and fully automated industrial processing workstations
  • Software integrating system operation, motion control, laser programming and control, machine vision (Cognex, Keyence), data collection and analysis, file management, human machine interfaces (HMI) and networking capabilities using graphical user interfaces (GUI) with real time implementation
  • Structured, re-useable low-level motion control system code for Delta-Tau, Aerotech, and ACS motion systems implementing control system and I/O functions
  • DLLs for selected software-controllable systems components such as: data acquisition and controls, motion controllers, visions systems, lasers, data collection and report generators
  • Manufacturing floor automation connectivity software including LAN, database, and other standard interfaces and protocols
  • PLC code for Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Sick and Pilz PLCs
  • Provide support for system acceptance testing conducted by project managers

Project Engineering

Field Service Engineer


The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing and servicing resistance welding, laser welders, laser markers and systems equipment; handling customer inquiries related to applications or processes development using our products. Travel to support these tasks will be worldwide.


  • Installing, aligning and servicing lasers, resistance welders and workstations with PLCs and motion control hardware and software
  • Making changes to PLC and motion control programs
  • Training customers in the use and maintenance of our products
  • Answering telephone inquiries regarding product operation, maintenance and applications
  • Writing field visit and customer inquiry reports
  • Work with customers and other visitors on applications development in-house
