Precision Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Salary Range:
$19 - $22 / hour
Responsibilities:

  • Assemble small components.
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Some electro mechanical assembly work
  • Build precision mechanical assemblies and/or electronic assemblies to a high level of quality using small hand tools and soldering equipment
  • Perform Electro Mechanical job tasks with a high level of efficiency and quality
  • Performs housekeeping and clean up duties upon completion of assigned tasks
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by the Company from time to time
Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • J-STD-001 Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of IPC soldering and crimping standards a plus
Requirements:
  • Prior experience performing assembly processes while viewing work under a microscope
  • Excellent dexterity and good hand/eye coordination is required
  • Six years of experience as an assembler
  • Ability to perform electro mechanical assembly using small hand tools, soldering irons and crimpers
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire lists in English
  • Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble mechanical or electronic components and subassemblies: Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally work extended hours
  • Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Attention to detail and being flexible to handle multiple tasks independently.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while performing task accurately.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in all areas of responsibility.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
