Electronic Design and Test Engineer Salary Range:$69,000 - $110,000Responsibilities:This exciting position offers a great opportunity to apply your engineering skills and creative abilities to develop new products and technologies within a world-class organization R&D department and add to a wide-ranging product portfolio. These products and technologies focus primarily on laser and resistance welding equipment, process data monitoring and analysis, and IIoT/Industrie4.0 applications for our worldwide customer base spanning many industries. The R&D Electronic Design and Test engineer will be an integral part of the R&D team and help develop, prototype, test, and shepherd our new products through the product release process for worldwide customer adoption. Build, troubleshoot, and test R&D prototypes Analyze product performance and reliability against requirements; recommend improvements and solutions supported by test data. Interface on technical matters between R&D and other teams (QA, manufacturing, etc.) during development cycle Perform engineering verification testing and document test and results in a professional engineering manner. Design test fixtures for production. Occasional travel to remote agency compliance test site. Other projects and tasks as assigned by the Company from time to time. Education, Experience, & Skills: BS degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience Ability to use PCB design software to review designs, design test fixtures, and make small changes to existing boards 4+ years of design/test experience Basic PLC or microcontroller programming skills Knowledge of the industrial laser materials processing industry preferred English Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and other stakeholders.
